Urban Outfitter CEO Takes a Hike

Jan. 11, 2012 – Named one of the “Top 20 Highest Paid Mid-Market Retail Executives” by RIS magazine, Glen T. Senk was reported to be earning nearly $3.2 million. Senk stepped down as CEO of Urban Outfitters “to pursue other opportunities.”

The co-founder of the apparel retailer, Richard Hayne, stepped back in as CEO. The chain had “suffered from four quarters of sales declines, a problem the company has blamed on tough competition and poor fashion choices that forced markdowns to clear inventory,” according to Shan Li in the L.A. Times.
