The CEO who was reported as getting the largest entertainment industry payday in 2010 saw his earnings drop by nearly 50%. Phillippe Dauman, chief executive of media company Viacom had his compensation package reduced from $84.5 million to only $43.1 million this past year.
Dauman’s salary increased to $3.5 million from nearly a million less, and his bonus nearly doubled to $20 million, according to a story in The Hollywood Reporter. The previous year he had received a one-time bump which had ratcheted up his pay to record levels.
Viacom chairman and controlling shareholder, legendary Sumner Redstone, saw his own payday increase by a third to $21 million. Viacom produces such hits as Jersey Shore and many others.
CEO Dauman reported his personal use of Viacom aircraft as totaling $232,097. His use of company car services added up to $15,084.
